On the date of 24th November 2021, ST.Joseph college Hassan witnessed investiture ceremony and inauguration of clubs held in the college’s auditorium. Under the supervision of Student Governor , Mr Rangaswamy and directed by our respected principal , Dr Daniel Fernandes,SJ. As the chief guest Dr. Antony Swamy, Secretary and managing director , Chirst The King PU college, Channarayapatna and K P Pet was invited and Rev. Fre. Joseph D’sourza SJ,superior , secretary and treasurer HJES,was preside over the function.
Ms.Varsha and Mr. Lalith were master of ceremony and were supervised by Ms. Jenisia. After a serence prayer, the program commenced with stating the significance of Investiture ceremony to the audience by Ms. Varsha.
Instead of the traditional lighting of the lamp on this special occasion, the elected college president Mr Lakshmi Sagar, Kannada Sanga president, chief
guest Dr.Antony Swamy, principal Fr.Daniel, Rev.Fr.Joseph, Rev.Fr.Balraju and vice principal Dinesh M Goankar and students governor Rangaswamy were requested to water the plant as the symbolic representation of a leader helping the other person to grow. Rev.Fr. Balraju, financial officer of SJC took thestand to host the chief guest and gave a brief introduction about Dr. Antony Swamy to the audience.
The main aim of the ceremony was to hand over the responisibilities to the newly elected student council member , which was initiated by administering the oath from our principal Dr. Daniel Fernandes SJ.
Later , the flag of our college was passed to elected college president by student governor Mr. Rangaswamy A. M. as the symbol of handing over of authority , responsibilities and to carry the flag of our institution with utmost honor and pride.
Vouchsafing the badges by chief guest to the elected council was followed next, where handing over the badges was the mark of acceptance of the responsibility.
Dr. Antony Swamy delivered awonderful speech about leadership, character of modest student and more importantly being humans in civilized society.
This was followed by Rev.Fr.Joseph D’sourza’s speech which was encourage the audience to participate in taking responsibilities in future.
“Acknowledging the good, you have already the foundation for all abundance”.
Concluded by the words of gratitude expressed from college president Mr. Lakshmi Sagar , by thanking the chief guest, principal, staff and students of SJC.
