St. Joseph's College aims at the integral formation of its students, helping them to become men and women concerned for others. Though it is a Christian minority institution, the college has been imparting liberal education to students of all denominations without any discrimination. Since its inception, the institution has shown growth and progress in academics, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.

1957: St. Joseph's Primary School was established in a rented house at K.R. Puram, Hassan by Rev. Fr. John Aranha SJ.
1961 Shifting of the school to the new campus at Saraswati Puram, Salagame Road and Starting of St. Joseph's Higher Primary Kannada medium School.
1962 Starting of St. Joseph's Higher Primary English medium School, in the same campus.
2004 St. Joseph's Pre-university College came into existence.
2010 B.Com section was added to the First Grade College.
2018 The First Grade College was shifted to Kattihalli, near Dairy Circle, Hassan.
St. Joseph's College is a landmark in Kattihalli, Hassan with a modern building with state of the art amenities. The college always strives to provide value based education to the students who step into the institution.
