As the global citizens are beginning to think about their goals and what they want to accomplish
in the future. Many people focus on their finances, while others may be thinking about their
health and relationships. Yet there is still one relationship that many people have forgotten: our
relationship with Mother Earth. With this thought in mind, the AICUF association and Eco Club
of St. Josephs College of Hassan, jointly organized a "WEBINAR" on 26-06-2021 on the topic
"ENVIRONMENT ISSUES AND SUSTAINABILITY"
The program was started with a prayer hymn to ask Gods choicest blessings for the success
of the program. It was followed by Principals address. Dr. Daniel Fernandes SJ, Principal of SJC
Hassan addressed the gathering. Ms. Jenisia Lasrado , coordinator of AICUF,introduced the
speaker to the participants.
The speaker for the session was Dr. BS Prabhakar, HOD, Department of Environmental
Science, St. Joseph’s College (Autonomous) Bengaluru. He is a renowned personality with
loads of experience in his field. He shared his perspective about environmental conservation
and importance of sustainability.
Around 15 staff and 135 students were benefited through the session. At the end of the
session, participants asked the questions to the speaker and also appreciated his vision and
work. The vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Shwetha, Assistant Professor, Coordinator of Eco-
club. The whole program was beautifully compered by Ms. Benita Olivera, Coordinator of
AICUF
