With this thought in mind, Corporate Club in association with Placement Cell of St Josephs College Hassan, organised A webinar On 17 july 2021 on the topic “Personal Financial Planning”

The session was hosted by Ms. Princia Ferandes from Department of Commerce, program started with a prayer hymn to ask God's choicest blessings for the success of the program. After the prayer Ms.Veronica from the department of commerce, welcomed everyone for the webinar. It was followed by the guests address, Chief guest was Rv.Fr.Balraj.SJ, financial officer of SJC Hassan addressed the gathering and gave his well wishes for the success of the program. The webinar was led by YVonil D’souza. The webinar was well attended by Lectures, Administrators, Students around 150 participants were present, welcome speech given by Mrs. Veronica, and guest introduction was given by Mr. Ranga Swamy.

Webinar was divided into four parts namely value of one hour, health insurance, retirement fund and investment. Resource person explained about what is the value of one hour on the basis of what we earn in one hour. While spending our earnings on anything we should look at how many hours do we have to work to buy a thing that we are planning for. He also stressed on health insurance and importance for buying health insurance. Health insurance is not a luxury instead it is a necessary, he asked everyone to go for a individual insurance or family insurance. Third part of webinar was on retirement fund he explained about the importance of investment and what are the avenues that are available for investment. He also explained about stock market, how stock market works, what it is right time to invest, why diversification is so much important in volatile market.
