“What is Christmas? It is the tenderness of the past, courage for the present, and hope for the future."

With this Christmas spirit St. Joseph’s College Hassan AICUF unit conducted the three inter class competitions to kick start the Christmas spirit among the students on 16th, 17th and 18th of December 2021.

The competitions and winners were as follows:

Crimbo-Bimbo(Christmas quiz): II BCom A bagged the first prize. Mistletoe( Star making): II BCom B bagges the first place. Live Crib: II BCom B were the winners of this event.

"Christmas is a day of meaning and traditions, a special day spent in the warm circle of family and friends."

So, we had a simple celebration in our college on 7th of January 2022 in our college auditorium. The celebration began with the prayer service by the members of AICUF followed by the reading of history and celebration of Christmas around the world.

Dr Daniel Fernandes SJ, the principal of our college addressed the gathering about the true meaning of Christmas, that it signifies sharing love and peace around us. He insisted that we should celebrate festivals to learn about different cultures around us.

This was followed by the carol singing by staff and the students. Later prizes were distributed to the winners of Christmas competitions and the competitions conducted by the corporate club.
