St. Joseph’s College Shines on Day One of Hassan University Inter College Athletic Meet

St. Joseph’s College, Hassan made an impressive start at the Hassan University Inter College Athletic Meet, securing 1 gold and 3 silver medals on the opening day of the competition.

The college athletes demonstrated commendable performance across multiple events:
• Discus Throw (Women) – Silver Prathana (2nd BCA)
• Triple Jump (Men) – Silver - Thejesh KS (1st BBA)
• 800m (Women) – Silver - Shubhashini (1st BCom)

The highlight of the day was a remarkable achievement by the men’s 4x400m relay team, comprising Preetham CS (1st BCA), Prathap S (1 st BCA), Thejesh KS (1 st BBA), and Darshan Kumar (3 rd BCA), who clinched the gold medal and set a new meet record with an impressive timing of 3:53.66 seconds.

This strong start reflects the dedication, discipline, and athletic excellence of the students, setting a positive tone for the rest of the meet. The event took place on 17 th March 2026 at the Hassan Stadium.
