ZEST 2025 Ignites Youth Spirit at St. Joseph’s College, Hassan

St. Joseph’s College, Hassan, hosted ZEST 2025, a vibrant district-level fest for Pre-University students, bringing together over 600 young participants from 20 PU colleges across Hassan. The day-long event celebrated creativity, intellect, and teamwork through 11 competitive events designed to inspire innovation and collaboration.

The fest was inaugurated by Shri Gangadhara K.P., Deputy Director of Pre-University Education, Hassan, who served as the Chief Guest. In his address, he emphasized the importance of skill development alongside academic learning, encouraging students to blend knowledge with practical experience.

Dr. Maxim Dias, SJ, Principal of St. Joseph’s College, invited students to cultivate strong values and positive attitudes along with their theoretical pursuits. Fr. Olvin Veigas, SJ, Campus Animator, introduced the college and highlighted its distinctive Jesuit ethos of holistic education. Mr. Anil M.S., the event coordinator, briefed participants on the objectives and various components of ZEST 2025. Fr Leo Pereira, Superior of Jesuit Institutions in Hassan wished well for the programme.

Sadhana PU College Hassan, emerged as the champion at the event. St Joseph’s PU College secured second and St Philomena’s PU College came third. With an enthusiastic response and vibrant participation, ZEST 2025 stood as a testament to the college’s commitment to nurturing young minds through a balance of learning, creativity, and character formation. The faculty and students of SJC worked very hard to make this event a successful one. The event took place on 05 November 2025.
