Twin Triumph: Boys and Girls Teams of St Joseph’s College Clinch Championship and Runner-Up Titles

St. Joseph’s College, Hassan, showcased remarkable sporting excellence at the Hassan University Inter-Collegiate Tournaments held at Holenarasipura and the District Stadium. The college badminton teams, both boys and girls, delivered commendable performances and secured the 1st runner-up position, reflecting their dedication, coordination, and competitive spirit.

The Boys Badminton Team comprised Manish Yadav (3 B.Com), Prashanth (3 B.Com), Manoj (3 B.Com), Kiran (3 BBA), Sathyaranjan (2 BBA), Kushal (2 BBA), and Akash (1 BCA). The Girls Badminton Team included Sanika UP (2 BCA), Prarthana (2 BCA), Aiman (2 BCA), Hafiya (2 BCA), Poorvika (2 B.Com), and Ananya (1 B.Com). Both teams displayed exceptional skill and resilience throughout the tournament.

Adding to the glory, the Boys Basketball Team of St. Joseph’s College emerged as Champions at the Hassan University Inter-Collegiate Basketball Tournament organized by Hemagangotri College at the District Stadium. The team’s outstanding performance and teamwork led them to clinch the top position.

The Basketball team members were Sandeep Raju H.K (3 BBA), Sandesh A (3 B.Com), Tilak K. (2 B.Com), Hithesh B.P (2 B.Com), Yashwanth H.V (2 BBA), Vishwas B (2 BBA), Preetham C.S (1 BCA), Preetham G.R (1 BCA), S. Punith Gowda (1 BCA), Muttu S.H (1 BCA), Hemanth K.K (1 BCA), and Darshan A.P (1 BCA).

The achievements highlight the college’s commitment to nurturing sportsmanship and holistic development among students. Mr Keerthi NR is the physical director of St Joseph’s College, Hassan. Mr Satvik BR and Ms Prarthana are the sports secretaries of the college.
