Inauguration of the Academic Year 2025–2026 at SJC Hassan

St Joseph’s College, Hassan, ceremoniously inaugurated the new academic year 2025–2026 on 16th July 2025 in the Loyola Auditorium. The event marked the formal welcome of 330 new students enrolled in BBA, B.Com, and BCA programmes. With great enthusiasm and solemnity, the college community gathered to introduce the freshers to the ethos and excellence that define SJC.

Fr Olvin Veigas SJ, the newly appointed Campus Animator, delivered an inspiring keynote address, urging students to embrace the spirit of excellence, discipline, and resilience. He encouraged them to make KSAO – Knowledge, Skills, Attitudes, and Other attributes – a part of their academic and personal journey at SJC.

Dr Maxim Dias SJ, the Principal, shared insights on the college’s vision, mission, and the core Jesuit values that guide its educational endeavours. He emphasized holistic development and the importance of becoming men and women for others.

The inauguration was presided over by Fr Leo Pereira SJ, the Superior of St Joseph’s Institutions, Hassan, who blessed the new academic journey of the students. Mr Pradeep Kumar, Vice Principal, introduced the dedicated team of faculty members to the newcomers, laying the foundation for a nurturing and supportive academic environment.

The day was filled with energy, encouragement, and a clear call to grow intellectually, morally, and spiritually during the years to come at St Joseph’s College, Hassan.
