Learning with Recreation: Industrial Visit and Wonderla Trip

The Department of Commerce at St. Joseph’s College, Hassan, organized an industrial visit to the Wonderla Wastewater Treatment Plant, Bengaluru, followed by a recreational trip to Wonderla Park. A total of 48 second-year B.Com students participated in the programme, held under the theme “Learning with Recreation.”

During the industrial visit, students gained practical insights into wastewater treatment, water recycling, waste management, and environmental conservation. The subsequent visit to Wonderla Park provided an opportunity for relaxation, enjoyment, and interaction with peers, fostering teamwork, cooperation, and team spirit.

The programme successfully blended experiential learning with recreation, enriching students’ practical knowledge, environmental awareness, and social skills while contributing to their holistic development. The event took place on October 16, 2026. Mr. Mohan A and Ms. Laya Diwakar, Faculty members coordinated the trip.
