Twenty students from St Joseph’s College, Hassan, successfully completed their month-long
internship at the Hassan branch of India Post Payments Bank, gaining valuable industry
exposure and practical insights into banking operations.
The internship was conducted in two batches, offering students of BBA, BCom, and BCA an
opportunity to bridge classroom learning with real-world banking practices. The Branch
Manager, Mr. Sandesh Limbu, Relationship Manager Mr. Mubarak Kaniyar, and their
dedicated team played a pivotal role in mentoring and guiding the interns throughout the
program. Their hands-on support enabled students to understand customer relationship
management, digital banking services, financial inclusion initiatives, operational procedures,
and professional workplace ethics.
During the internship, students actively engaged in learning core banking processes,
interacted with customers, observed compliance procedures, and developed a deeper
appreciation for financial services in the public sector. As part of the academic requirement,
each student also completed a project work based on their learning experience at the bank.
Both batches were honoured with a warm farewell program organized by the bank. The
internees were awarded special certificates of performance and prizes in recognition of
their commitment and contribution during the internship.
St Joseph’s College, Hassan expresses its sincere gratitude to the management and staff of
India Post Payments Bank, Hassan, for their generous mentorship and for strengthening the
vital bridge between academia and industry.
