St. Joseph’s College, Hassan, organized an informative student orientation session under the
national initiative AI Careers for Women, led by the Edunet Foundation. The program is
designed to equip women learners with essential AI and digital skills, enabling them to
participate confidently in India’s rapidly evolving technology-driven workforce.
The orientation highlighted Edunet’s collaboration with Microsoft and SAP, who together
with SJC Hassan aim to bridge the gender gap in tech-enabled careers by offering structured
learning pathways. The initiative provides 180 hours of comprehensive training, industry-
recognised certifications, expert mentorship, and hands-on project experience—ultimately
preparing women for promising careers in emerging technologies along with placement
support.
Aditya M. Chikkavenkataiah, Senior Business Development Manager, Edunet
Foundation, Akshay Ojha, AICW Program Manager and Medni, Program Trainer
spoke at the occasion.
Over 100 female students from II and III BBA and B.Com actively participated in the
orientation. The full certification program is scheduled to begin soon on campus, marking an
exciting opportunity for young women at SJC Hassan to build future-ready tech skills.
Fr Olvin Veigas SJ and Ms Tasmiya Sultana, faculty and placement coordinators at SJC
