Commerce Career Guidance Programme Empowers PU Students at Paduvalahippe

St Joseph’s College, B. Katihalli, Hassan, in collaboration with Government PU College, Paduvalahippe, organized a Commerce Career Guidance Programme on 30 December 2025 at the Government PU College campus. The initiative aimed at guiding PU Commerce students on higher education pathways and emerging career opportunities in the commerce discipline.

The session was led by Mr. Anil B K, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce, St Joseph’s College, Hassan, who engaged the students through an interactive and insightful presentation. He highlighted diverse career options available after commerce, including professional courses such as CA, CMA, and CS; degree programmes like B.Com and BBA; and opportunities in banking, insurance, accounting, auditing, and government sectors.

Mr. Anil also elaborated on course eligibility, learning stages, preparation strategies, and career planning approaches, helping students gain clarity on their academic journey. A special focus was placed on understanding the PU Board examination pattern, subject- wise preparation techniques, time management, smart study methods, and effective answer presentation skills to improve examination performance.

The session included an interactive discussion where students asked questions related to academics, exams, and future careers. The resource person further created awareness about the Agniveer (Agnipath) scheme, explaining eligibility, selection processes, and career opportunities in the defence services. The college administration expressed appreciation to the resource person for his valuable contribution, and the event concluded with a formal vote of thanks.
