Industrial Visit to Chamundeshwari Sugar Factory

The Department of Commerce, St. Joseph’s College, Hassan, organized an industrial visit to Chamundeshwari Sugar Factory Pvt. Ltd., Channarayapatna Taluk, Hassan District, for 90 students of I B.Com A and I B.Com B, accompanied by three faculty members: Mr. Range Gowda, Ms. Veronica P and Mr Mohan A.

The visit provided students with practical exposure to the functioning of a sugar manufacturing industry, including the various stages of sugar production, machinery and technology, quality control, safety measures, and resource management. The interaction with industry officials helped students understand the practical application of concepts related to production management, human resource management, cost management, and industrial operations.

The visit was an enriching learning experience that bridged the gap between classroom learning and industrial practices while fostering teamwork, discipline, and professional awareness among students.
