St. Joseph’s College, Hassan, successfully organized an interactive workshop on “Digital
Marketing and Machine Learning with Python” for II year students of BBA, B.Com, and
BCA. The sessions were conducted simultaneously at the Loyola Auditorium (for BBA &
B.Com) and the BCA AV Room, ensuring active participation across streams.
The workshop was designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry
expectations, equipping students with relevant digital and analytical skills. The session on
Digital Marketing introduced students to key concepts such as the evolution and benefits of
digital marketing, along with practical insights into SEO, SEM, social media marketing,
email marketing, and affiliate marketing.
The Machine Learning segment focused on real-world applications, highlighting its role in
business decision-making, marketing analytics, and customer behaviour analysis. Students
were also introduced to emerging career paths such as Data Analyst, Business Analyst, and
entry-level Data Scientist roles.
The sessions were led by industry experts Mr. Brijesh Kumar, Head of Digital Marketing, and
Mr. Dhruv Malhotra, Data Scientist at Li-mat Soft Solutions Pvt. Ltd. Their practical
approach, enriched with real-time examples and engaging activities, made the workshop
highly impactful and insightful.
The workshop provided students with a valuable opportunity to understand current industry
trends and future career opportunities, fostering both awareness and enthusiasm for digital
and technological domains.
The event took place on 08 April 2026. It was coordinated by Fr Olvin Veigas SJ, the faculty
and Campus Animator at SJC Hassan.
