Blood Donation Camp Inspires Spirit of Service at SJC Hassan

The Red Cross Unit of St Joseph’s College, Hassan organized a Blood Donation Camp to promote humanitarian values and encourage a spirit of compassion and selflessness among students. The programme was inaugurated by Dr. Maxim Dias SJ, Principal, who led by example by donating blood.

A total of 54 students voluntarily contributed to the noble cause. The camp was conducted in coordination with Dr. Nagalakshmi, Medical Officer, Blood Bank, HIMS Hospital, Hassan, along with a dedicated team of doctors and nurses.

The event witnessed the support of Vice Principal Mr. Pradeep Kumar, Campus Animator Rev. Fr. Olvin Veigas SJ, Red Cross Unit Coordinators Ms. Laya Divakar and Mr. Mohan A, Club President Muhammed Kalander, hospital staff, faculty members, and student volunteers. Certificates were distributed to all donors in appreciation of their contribution. The blood donation camp was held on 16 April 2026 in AV Room of the College.
