The Internal Quality and Assessment Cell of SJC Hassan works towards streamlining the efforts of the institution in promoting academic excellence and innovative practices driven by self-reflection, collaboration and feedback. The IQAC conducts staff evaluation programs where in students give their feedback regarding the subjects and the teaching methodology adopted by the faculty.

The Cultural Committee is responsible for intra and inter-collegiate cultural events in the college. It plans and schedules the cultural events for the academic year. The committee prepares the annual budget and schedules the various cultural events. “Pratibothsava”– A hunt for talent, is organized every year in order to develop the students in the extracurricular activities.

The Discipline Committee strives to maintain strict discipline in the campus with regard to the uniform, timings, class discipline etc. Strict action is taken for the misconduct of the students. It promotes good behavior among students and rewards those with good conduct.

Magazine committee aims to inform, inspire, entertain and create awareness on a number of current social issues to a diverse readership. It encourages students to think and write and hence develop their writing skills and talents. The annual magazine contains a collection of articles, poem and stories primarily on social themes. They are written and edited by the students and sometimes by faculties.

This team works on updating the college website on a regular basis. It oversees the content presented on the website and is responsible for creating, editing, posting, updating, and occasionally cleaning up outdated content.

SJC has committed itself to provide a congenial and conducive atmosphere in which students, teachers and non- teaching staff can work together in an environment free of violence, harassment, exploitation and intimidation. This includes all forms of gender violence, sexual harassment and discrimination on the basis of gender. Every member is expected to be aware of the commitment to the right to freedom of expression and association; it strongly supports gender equality and opposes any form of gender discrimination and violence.

The college canteen plays an important role in this regard by catering the daily nutritional requirements of students and staff members. Our goals and objectives include providing wholesome and quality food at reasonable price developing good and healthy food habits among students. As many students come from distant places, it is essential for the students to have nutritious food and refreshments at affordable prices so as to participate in the daily academic activities actively.

The Placement Cell plays a crucial role in locating job opportunities for Under Graduates and Post Graduates passing out from the college by keeping in touch with reputed firms and industrial establishments. The Placement Cell operates round the year to facilitate contacts between companies and graduates. The number of students placed through the campus interviews is continuously rising. On invitation, many reputed industries visit the institute to conduct interviews.

The Examination committee is an apex body of the Institute which is headed by Examinations In-Charge (EI) and shall be facilitated by three sections: Examination, Record Maintenance and Administration. The main function of this Committee is to carry out examinations, publish results and award certificates (provided by the University and Institute) to the students who pass the final examinations. Keeping the record of each and every issue related to the examination and organizing workshops and seminars for the improvement of the examination system are also the responsibilities of this Committee.
